About the Project
The Peace and Development in Central Asia programme is a flagship initiative by the Bulan Institute aimed at promoting sustainable development, social cohesion, and regional stability across Central Asia. Through a combination of research, policy engagement, and grassroots collaboration, the programme seeks to address the interconnected challenges of economic development, governance, human security, and social inclusion.
By advancing development initiatives in areas such as education, youth empowerment, environmental resilience, and conflict prevention, the programme contributes to a more peaceful and prosperous Central Asia. The Bulan Institute works closely with local stakeholders and international organizations to ensure that our efforts align with regional needs and global development goals.
Operating across Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan, our projects focus on empowering local communities, supporting inclusive economic opportunities, and fostering dialogue between civil society, government actors, and international partners. We prioritize approaches that are locally grounded, culturally sensitive, and driven by evidence-based practices.
