We believe that violent extremism should not be countered by force but prevented through soft power. This involves innovative media projects that combine art, new technologies and new counter-narrative platforms in order to dissuade individuals from entering the radicalization process. Preventing violent extremism should start with promoting dialogue, raising awareness through the media and a deep analysis of root causes and the pretexts that enable the radicalization of individuals.
The Institute has been working on the prevention of violent extremism combining research and dialogue building through innovative media projects. The research project devoted to Central Asia published an in-depth analysis on religious extremism and discovered how religious educational institution(s) can play a key role in preventing radicalization.
We aim to mobilize and unite various actors including decision makers, community leaders, policy analystsand the media towards this common goal.
